Pine Hill Lena 31A DOB: 3/1/2013
Pine Hill Lena 31A is a moderate framed cow with a gentle nature.
Her Sire is the legendary Boyd New Day 8005 (now deceased with his semen in high demand). His progeny are well known for their show-ring style and outstanding performance. Boyd New Day's influence lives on through the long impressive list of A.I. Studs he has sired. Her Dam, Black Ace Lena 25, we purchased from White Ranch (well known Club Calf producer) in 2001 and she remained a very docile and productive member of our herd until 2013 ( age 12 ) when a hip injury forced us to let her go. Take away the injury and she was still rock-solid and would have lasted many more years. Pine Hill New Day 321S, ( the incredibly docile FULL BROTHER to this heifer ) was born in 2006, and was our herd sire for 3 years. He was sold to a registered herd and remains in service yet today. You will appreciate what Lena's built-to-last feet & legs and udder quality will add to the longevity of the replacements you keep. Confirmed pregnant to Fountains Arktika 68 Click Here for information on Fountains Arktika 68 NOTICE: On 2 occasions the summer of 2016 we observed Lena sucking on a cow. (the same cow both times) She did not do it her first year. She might (or might not) do it again after she calves. Video of Lena in 2016
